Everyone has questions when they come to me, so here I hope I have given some answers to the most common ones If you need any more information, please do call me, or fill in the contact form. I look forward to hearing from you.
About the treatments I offer
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a remarkably natural state of mind, and we do it all the time. Have you ever driven a car from A to B and wondered how you got there, or 'lost yourself' when listening to your music, watching TV or reading a book? That's hypnosis and it's achieved through physical and mental relaxation.
Clinical hypnosis is where a professional hypnotherapist takes you to a state of hypnosis, for therapeutic purposes.
What can clinical hypnosis do?
Bring permanent, lifelong change for a huge number of problems, including goal achievement, getting rid of habits, phobias, fears and giving you renewed self-confidence.
Will you make me bark like a dog?
A clinical hypnotherapist will never make you do anything humiliating.
You will remain conscious, but relaxed and in full control throughout the process. You cannot be made to do or say anything against your beliefs, ethics and values, and the whole treatment will be discussed with you beforehand, to establish your consent.
What's the difference between clinical hypnosis and coaching?
Hypnosis is naturally occuring state, allowing you to overcome limiting ideas and beliefs and develop new thinking and behaviours. Coaching is about giving you strategies, motivating you to achieve your goals, without the use of hypnosis.
What is FATnosis?
FATnosis is a motivational system to encourage mindset change in the area of weight-loss. It consists of a 6-week course, including 1-1 sessions and 24/7 text and email backup.
After booking a treatment
I’m interested in finding out if you can help me. What should I do next?
The first thing to do is give me a call, on 07973 642749. We can discuss which treatment options will work best for you.
What is the free initial consultation about?
This is a face-to-face or Skype conversation, where we discuss the issues you’re wishing to tackle, and establish which treatment option will work best for you. You can ask me anything you like, and I will do my best to answer!
How many sessions will I need?
Using hypnotherapy to tackle goal achievement, fears, habits, etc, usually takes 1-2 sessions. More ingrained or life-long issues can take more time.
Coaching sessions will depend on the issue, and how you want to tackle it. Sometimes meeting weekly works well or perhaps one a month just to keep you on track.
FATnosis is a 6-week course.
What does it cost?
A session of clinical hypnosis costs £75 per session (usually 1 to 1.5 hours)
A session of coaching costs £75 per session (usually 1 to 1.5 hours)
How do I pay?
Payment must be made in full at time of booking and I can take card details over the phone, or cheques or cash by post or in person.
What if I need to cancel?
I normally require 48 hours’ notice of cancellation for a full refund. However, I do understand that emergencies happen, so I can usually rearrange appointments if required.
